VIBES THE MOVIE!!!
It's officially announced that MGM has optioned my novel VIBES, and has attached a writer, Tiffany Paulsen, to write the screenplay. Ms. Paulsen wrote the Nancy Drew movie, which I have not yet seen. It looks to have gotten pretty decent reviews as far as the writing goes, and I'm looking forward to checking it out.
This is potentially very exciting news. I say potentially because none of this quite guarantees that the movie will be made. Still, there are lots of press announcements circulating, mentioning me and my book, which certainly cannot hurt sales.
It's very flattering to think that my book is inspiring hollywood producers and writers. It's definitely a shot in the arm, in all kinds of ways. Good luck to Ms. Paulsen in the task of adaptation! It's probably quite a job, but I have a feeling she's more than up to it.
